Yeah, the hatred of H/Hr got really out of hand. Some shippers were a bit ridic but hating on thousands of strangers just because of their shipping preference is silly and mean.

Oh yeah, some of the H/Hr shippers were awful, but you get some of those in any ship. It was the "We can't be friends if you ship H/Hr because that's stupid and wrong." sort of attitude rather than a more reasonable "We can't be friends if you ship ______ and continually shove it down my throat in an aggressive manner when I have asked you repeatedly to stop."

Because H/Hr shippers did not have a monopoly on being dicks, fo sho.
