...I. I haven't seen The Wire yet, either. (Or The Sopranos.) /o\

Favorite moments:

'"How could you let this happen?!" He complains to Damian's father, who's passing through with a mug of coffee. The Dark Knight gives them both a distracted, mystified look, then returns to his work station.'

and

'He calls up Grayson to complain about Drake's insolence of inviting himself to his home, but all he says is, "Oh man, you haven't seen The Wire?!"

Damian hangs up while Grayson is still laughing.'

and

Bruce getting all bright-eyed and excited and COME IN SON, SIT DOWN about talking about The Wire.

and

'"I made us low-fat herb dip," he announces.

"Why."'

...That last one pretty much encapsulates Tim's and Damian's personalities and their relationship with each other, I love it. <33333

Omg thanks for reading this weirdo little fic ♥

Seriously though, it is NOT A CRIME not to have seen The Wire! I was more poking fun at the whole "ZOMG HOW HAVE YOU NOT SEEN IT WHAT ARE YOU EVEN"- thing that TV nerds sometimes do, and I can believe that Tim would be a TV snob, besides being a sci-fi show geek or something. XD (However, it really is an excellent show, watching it definitely pays off.) I can also see Bruce liking it because it's this type of mature, cerebral show that deals almost exclusively with topics of crime, corruption, and the human condition and so on.

Btw Tim would probably not like The Sopranos. It's a bleak, nihilistic show, while The Wire is an idealistic, compassionate show, which is a better fit. But I needed to name-drop another classic at the end. XD But I love thinking about stuff like that, which kind of TV those characters would like. But I guess the answer would be that they all have to time to watch any ( ... )

Ahahaha I am totally like that. I recently found out one of my friends hadn't seen The Avengers or, like, half of the relevant prequel films and I was like, NOOOOOOOOOOO WE MUST FIX THIS!! HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?? WHO ARE YOU??

And a couple of my friends are that way about The Wire, they've been campaigning heavily for me to see it. I just haven't had the time yet. And right now they're busy catching me up on The Hour.

Lol, then you're like my friend, who recently did the whole all-Marvel-prequels thing with me after we saw The Avengers together (not that I'm complaining, it was great fun)! :)

And in your other example, I am that friend. XD Though I always try to not clobber people with the shows I think are great; nobody has time to watch everything, and people should choose for themselves what they want to pick up. The Wire is one of those shows that I'll definitely always go to bat for, but we really live in a time where there's so much great TV, you can be friends with tons of TV nerds yet nobody watches the same shows. I haven't seen The Hours yet, for instance. ^^

Oh, god. I didn't catch any of the pop-culture references. . . . . . I need to go cry in a corner now.

Hey, then you know how Damian feels! ;)

Don't feel bad about it, this was a pretty weird and obscure idea for a fic to begin with! Can I just say that I think it's awesome you read it, anyway? <3

I admit I fall into the catergory who have seen neither, but brotherly bonding (as only Bats can) is always good.

I was hoping that it'd still be enjoyable even if you didn't know these shows, so this makes me glad! :) I think everyone knows people who are like this over a show, movie or book, so it's a little universal, I hope. And yes, Batboys geeking out is always a good thing!
