Non-dorama Update/ The Nine screencaps : Very shallow reading

Supernatural I couldn’t think straight all through “ Children shouldn’t play with dead things” because Dean was sporting some dark blue jacket and it somehow made him even more attractive then usual.. ** sigh **. I made screencaps and now I want to make some icons. Yep, it means I am really getting into this show. And then Dean was opening a ( Read more... )

This is so true! :D They are getting better - and prettier - this season! I also like that the tables have turned. At the beginning of season one Sam was the one mourning, and Dean taking care of him. Now it is Dean that is falling apart, and Sam that is taking care of him. (even if he is mourning too)

As for the pigs on Deadwood - oh, I hear ya! The first time I realized what the pigs were used for I felt a little sick.

And Wild Bill! *sniff*

When watching Deadwood from season one onwards be sure to notice the town itself - because in the first few episodes it's just a collection of tents and such, but by the end of season three it's much more of a proper town with houses and streets. I just love that.

One would not think that this can be possible :). And seeing Dean falling apart totally erases anything non-shallow thought I have got. He is all sad and looking very tortured and all can think is "OMPH! His lashes are so long in this shot". :) I don't have too much un-shallow thoughts left in the first place and for this I blame my recent Asian drama addiction - too much visual prettiness.

And Wild Bill! *sniff*

I know! Heis such a vivid, strong character. I am missing him already :)

Yep! This is what I am trying to do - to soak in every little bit of information about the town itself and the characters therein at the moment. because even small characters seem to be sooooo interesting.

too much visual prettiness.

At times one needs visual prettiness! *nods gravely* Yes, this is my conclusion. I think my relationship to Supernatural is rather like chocolate. It isn't healthy, quality food (like "Deadwood" or "the Wire") - but it is pretty, comfort food that makes me squee a lot!
(It should be noted that I have spent the day running around guiding school-classes, and so I'm dead tired. Therefore my ability to create metaphors are a little off. But Supernatural? Equals chocolate. )

And Dean really has very long lashes and is extremely pretty.

And "Deadwood is a lot like "The Wire" in that even the smallest characters are well thought out, and they have a significance. I have started to rewatch season one, so there will be some analysis. ;)

I know what you mean, I was just talking to somebody else about this - I also love quality food, like "The Wire" or "Deadwood" or thought-provoking cinema. I can't really live without this. But can I live without my sweets? No, not as well!!! And as far as chocolate goes, "Supernatural" is the good, dark kind of chocolate (I love dark chocolate). My Asian drama addiction is rather like some Turkish delight (I know this is a little lame in a way of metaphors, but I like Turkish delight too :)

I am so glad it must be the end of the day already for you!!!! Have a nice rest!

"I could just watch pigs eat a body all day" EEE! Of course, imagine how many times they have to repeat this to get a good shot! Hmm. I am never particular sure about pigs. They are HUGE in RL. I have seen some and they are scary!

EEEE! I am so glad you like them! Nick is a very good subject to make screen caps from :). And fiction ideas???? Marvelous :)

2 - HOLSTER! SUNGLASSES!! You know EXACTLY what I like :P

There is a screen cap in the middle where he looks very OTP-like at Kathryn. And doesn't he look hot whilst interrogating? I think I just realized in the episode 4 what a great cop he is, how it is really HIM!

but actually, he's very cool and clever and good at his job.

And he totally loves his job too, just like McNulty does. , Oh, I like him so very much. And at the end of the day I am glad he didn't quit.

I think he is very alone and that he really does feel that no one notices (or knows about) what he's done for them while at the same time he feels tremendous guilt for what he was unable to do

This is a thing which always happens with strong people - everyone just assumes that everything is easy for them , where it is not really :(

And I love that Kathryn is the only person who recognizes how they've all depended on him so far

Probably because she is like him in this sense - staying strong and helping them all, but inside she has her demons.

Mmmmm, thank you for the yummy screencaps. I, too, am at a loss as to why this show isn't doing better. I just got my new Entertainment Weekly today, and they had it on their A-list of things everyone should watch/read/listen to.
