I do like Michelle Fairley, especially when paired up with Sean Bean. She's such a believable character and they make you believe in their relationship, warts and all, even though they spend so much of the season apart.
Yes, Robert is well-matched with Ned. You can believe that they fought together as younger men and formed a deep bond that time is now revealing to be strained.

As for Dany/Drogo, I managed better with them as a couple the second time I watched season 1, but I could never 'ship them. I guess the most I could say is that I understood the relationship. Drogo had to die, though, for Dany to become the person she becomes.
Long time no see! :D I must leave a comment, Game of Thrones is such an addiction to me, I cannot express my thoughts ;) especially on such a thing like the fandom feelings towards Catelyn. I might be the last one on earth, but no, I cannot like her. I've always been by Jon Snow's side, and even though how she acted towards him can be understood, I cannot sympathize with her. Not at all. IMO, she's always been selfish --leaving Bran by himself (almost), creeping out Robb whenever she could like she was jealous (never liked their relationship, always thought it was not...right?), almost forgetting the girls. No milady, you cannot fail with 4 kids and just take care of your favorite one (even if he's my favorite one as well

I think Catelyn is one of those characters you feel strongly about liking or disliking. I spent years disliking her chanter, but now I am all "Oh. I see things soooo differently".

I still can't understand how you can "learn to love" someone after months of rape-like sex. I would have hated him FOR LIFE.
