I am still going through audio books with quite a good speed and it still make me very very happy. I also find that I remember the books I have listened to much better than the books I have actually read (most likely because I am very inpatient and when I read a paper book I always skip things, and you can’t do this with audiobooks

I loved Redshirts a lot. Usually I'm also more into character-driven books, but especially with those codas Scalzi managed to create something really fantastic, plus I'm amazed that I took an old idea and made something shiny and new with it.
"Halfhead" sounds awesome and exactly like my cup of tea. *puts it on the looong tbr-list

I felt sooo indifferent while reading it, even annoyed at some point. I still liked it, but it was vastly different from my reading experience with "Paper Towns", another book by John Green.
So I totally understand you. :D
