Thank you so much to all of you for thoughtful messages, and birthday wishes! I haven’t been posting for ages, mostly due to the back problems, which haven’t got better yet. Eee! I've missed you! So sad to hear about your ongoing back and now leg problems. I'm hoping the test will give you the answers you need to get better soon.

I haven't watched all of GOT season 2 either, and I'm missing a few episodes at the end. I'm sorry, but I felt the second season was just a bit of a mess. I found it to be inconsistent in characterisation and several plots just dragged. I have however just finished the third season of Breaking Bad, which was just excellent. Seriously, it was some of the best television I've seen in ages. (Though not appropriate to see together with you daughter I'm afraid.)

And I'm selfish, and don't want you to move platforms. ;)

Oh, I have heard of Breaking Bad and was thinking of watching it too. I will as soon as I finish my re-watch of "The Wire" (which I have been doing veeeeeeeeery slowly: when doing ironing and other jobs).

Bad backs are no fun. If this persists I might cut my work hours down. I am still doing 4 days a week and can't really do less right now (due to various money commitments), but if this persists into the winter, I will have to do something serious.

It was QoT who recommended Breaking Bad to me, and I'm so glad she did. Great acting, and great plot. It took a few episodes for me to get the hang of it, but by ep 4 I was pretty much hooked.

Bad backs are horrid. I've had some back problems myself, though thankfully only minor, but I know a little about how frustrating and painful it can be. *hugs*

Sorry you have been doing so badly! You poor thing.

I am good! Have had a very busy couple of months - moved into our new house, got engaged, started wedding planning, did lots of teaching... :)

I hope this all will get resolved somehow, from the things I can do myself I am thinking about cutting some of my work hours.

These are fantastic news!!!!!!!!!!!! Is it a bit quieter for you (in teaching sense) in summer? A summer full of wedding plans and doing all sorts of nice decoration- related things in your house..

Yes teaching has finished for now, though I have lots of my own work to do. But it's nice to not be lesson planning! :)

It's so good to hear from you! I've been wondering where you've been, but I hadn't realised so much time had passed.
I hope everything will be fine for you soon. *hugs*

LJ is soso for me. I'm visiting regularly, because there are still enough people on my flist writing things that interest me, but I myself have become really boring, because I hardly write anymore. It's not because of LJ, I just don't feel like sharing my thoughts at the moment. Plus I removed tons of communites from my watch list. I'm still in love with TV, but LJ isn't the place for me to looks for news, comments and other stuff anymore.
The 100 Things Challenge produces some posts every now and then, but especially now I'm more into reading thanks to my Kindle less into talking about books.

Oh, where do you go for news nowdays? I admit I haven't watched too much drama-related things recently.. :(

I have been following some of Russian-language communities, they seem to be doing really well.

There are various German sites I stumbled upon, plus some blogs and I have to admit, that while imdb boards are infested with trolls, it's fun discussing new eps and everything over there.

And I've neglected Dramaland completely. I wanted to catch up after trade school, then after the exams (especially The Equator Man), but well, books are much more interesting these days. *coughs*

Travelling? This can be a good thing and a bad thing. :D

Yes I hope too, at least I hope to find out if anything is "seriously" wrong. :D

I think I will start doing the cross posting from Dreamworks . I am lazy, but I want to try it. I was hoping LJ has picked up in spring/summer, it is not a good news that it didn't :(

It is much quieter on LJ isn't it? It makes me sad.

Do you suppose it's because everyone's microblogging these days instead of blogging?

Please don't go again. You only just came back.

I hope there's some progress on your back/leg trouble soon.

Also, that's a very impressive list of books. I discovered the Ben Aaronovitch books recently and still have the third one to read.

I enjoyed GoT season 2 myself.
