But those pictures from Iceland look GREAT! I am in love already. but then again, I have always thought that the Wall and around it was done the best of all in the season 1 as well.

I'm of the same mind re. the series. Hopefully if he is pressured, the quality will not dip too far. I felt that way with the Harry Potter books - when they were immensely popular, the last few books were rushed and unedited, and lacked the "heart" of the first ones.

I think the quality of the latest ASOIAF books already dipped considerably. :(. I think this is the usual problem with the long-ish series - I imagine the author gets "tired" with the long series (or am I just projecting?) I think the situation is easier when the series are not a single story (like Vorkosigan saga, for example) , but still..

I do hope George Martin finishes the books; I will choose to overlook the many possibilities as to why he may not. I will do the same for the show and hope that they at least will make a good ending to the show whenever and however.
I am sure the footage from Iceland will only reinforce my wish to travel there and explore. One day!

Catelyn never was my favorite, but not because I find her annoying - I just get terribly bored with her chapters, and I think there are less of them in Clash of Kings. :D
I am he same -this looks like a definite place to visit!

Annoying is probably not the right word; but something irks me about her at times, though so far I think she handles herself better now with Robb as King than she did when she took Tyrion captive and all that entailed.
