Something crossed my attention this spring: everyone is wearing Ugg boots. Ugg boots look good, cost too much and seem to be worn during the warm time of the year. But something is very strange!!!! I haven't seen anyone wearing these 100% sheep-skin, very warm-looking boots during the snowy times in February . But now - the weather is warm and ( Read more... )

Yes, this boots are just perfect for Russian winter. :) But not for such winter as we had this year, when the temperature never dropped below -20C.

I was born in Omsk - it used to get very cold there, even cold enough to wear valenki. These boots look just the thing.

My home town (Saransk) is in the Central Russian, near Moscow, but there are still quite cold winters usually.

I remember Moscow used to have much colder winders too. Last winter wasn't cold at all.

What the frell? Uhm, no I can't understand it. Its even too warm for my DocMartens, so I'm looking for shoes I can wear in summer.
Hm, but its something I could use to make fun of a friend of mine. She is half Brazilian and feels cold very easily. *gg*

Yep, it is too hot for my non-padded boots too. I used to have a friend from Brazil too - she hated British winters.

ugg boots - I do not like them. (Unless you are actually wearing them to stay warm; that I will permit).

I am very tempted to get them for winter, they could be excellent for the cold weather. the only problem - there is so much rain here in winter. But wearing them in summer seems like a fad to me.

Lots of people around here - including me - wear them in winter. But they come by the summer thing honestly. They're Aussie-made, and the Aussie surfers wear them year round, and that's where the fad started. Supposedly if you wear them barefoot they breathe and your feet don't get hot, but it sounds suspect to me. Plus, they're ug(g)ly as sin, and it's only because they're fabulously warm that I wear them at all.

I am very very tempted to buy a pair for the winter too. It is too rainy outside usually and I already have my pair walking boots that is also very very comfortable, but I can wear Uggs inside when it gets quite chilly. But wear them is summer - no, I am not ready to be overheated just for the sake of fad.

Sasha wants Ugg boots, though.

I have wonderful Ugg slippers for winter, and I highly recommend them for indoor use.

I might spoil myself and buy these slippers for the next winter. It seems that the time of sandals is near - I love sandals!!!

Ugh (heh)...Uggs...I'm not a fan to begin with and the idea of wearing them in the summer time is asinine to me...

They look very comfy, but for summer - do not suit.
