Angel season 4
YAY! I sailed through this in no time at all and it is definitely my favourite season of "Angel" and "Buffy" (I am still stuck in the season 3 of Buffy) . On the whole - the show has "growed up" by Lilah's words. baleanoptera, have you seen this season ( Read more... )

I love the fourth season of Angel, it may be my favorite. While I did dislike what happened with Cordelia, I never stopped loving the character. I was more upset that she was written out of the series! The episode "You're Welcome" in S5 almost makes up for it, though, at least for me!

Wesley and Lilah are two of my favorite Buffyverse characters!

- I still like Connor, he may be was the strongest and most complex character in this season (it is a tie between him and Wesley). And Angel's final sacrifice for him made so much sense in mystical/fairytale/religious nature of the whole arch.

I agree, Connor often infuriated me, but I always understood where he was coming from, and Angel's sacrifice, well, I thought it was perfect, though it broke my heart.

Have a wonderful holiday!

Yay! There is more of of her in the season 5! I think I might be able to get over the memory of pregnant Cordelia too. :D I think for me it is in a very good and very subtle way the Cordelia's possession by Jasmine was played out. For example, with real Jasmine it was obvious from the very beginning that she is bad news and that everything is just mind control. But Cordelia , in her initial stages, said and did things that felt only slightly wrong, only tiny bit. These small shifts, small dozes of poison in still what was largely sweet Cordelia were terrifying. If we weren't shown exlicitly that she is possessed it would have taken me a while to realise the truth, I think.

Thank you!!!!!!

I am afraid I will never be able to like Cordelia as I liked her before.
I was never able to, either. I couldn't get past it. *shudder*

As for Fred and Wes, I will only say that as is the case with Angel, there is always tragedy and awesome, wrapped together. It's very interesting!

I hope you have a wonderful time on your vacation!

I guess for me it was hard to judge where Cordelia ended and where Jasmine began.

EEE! To more Fred and Wes, and a good tragedy is always welcome. I really liked Fred and Gunn , but their split up made good sense and as I am having a huge crush on Wesley now I want him to be happy.

Thank you very much - we are going to stay with our in-laws and it is a very beautiful place.

I love how in the last episode of season 4, Angel gives Connor what he (Angel) had dreamt of when he was lying underwater - a happy family life.

And the saddest thing is that he himself would have never been able to give connor that. What happened with Connor was very sad, but I think something would have happened anyways. With the life Angel leads, amount of enemies he has, etc. , there was no chance for Connor just grow up like any "normal" child, IMHO. ** sniff **

I am quickly moving through the season 5 (holidays!!) and so far I like it too. There are few weak episodes (like "The Cautionary Tale of Numero Cinco" **eyeroll**) but there are some very good ones (like "life of the PArty" or "Lineage")

My apologies - because I don't know the ethnic situation in LA so well these things escape my attention. I remember some episodes (I think mostly of Buffy) with Mesoamerican demons.

I am also not so keen on the way they "attached" Spike to this show and most of his episodes are weak for me. He should have gone down in his blaze of glory (IMHO) and BE GONE.

Hello,

I'm popping in for my random check of your most wonderful icons and found Angel in the happy, yellow shirt! Season 4 of Angel was not my most favorite. I think I'm still scarred over the Cordelia/Connor thing. And, thank you for finally verbalizing what was wrong with Connor - the hair! I think I could have taken the character so much more seriously if he had a decent haircut.

Have you ever made any Firefly/Serenity icons? You are truly one of the best iconmakers I've come across.

Angel in the happy shirt - I keep staring in wonder from time to time. :D

I haven't made any Firefly icons so far, but I promise to get back to it (as soon as I am over the crazy work period that seems to last and last). :D
