D&D Postponement

I hate to do this especially two weeks in a row, but I'm not going to be able to do the game tomorrow night. My schedule for the end of the week has changed due to external events. I'm not inclined to fight to rearrange them because I'd be massively underprepared... the same things that kept me from getting much writing done also kept me from ( Read more... )

Fully understand- I need to do some work myself, for a Tuesday game, and I've been avoiding it longer than I should largely due to outside (and mental) issues.

I'll be ready to play whenever you have the chance to run- and just to be clear, I don't care if that's three weeks or three months. You run a good game. I've seen too many DMs get caught up in delays, feel guilty about the delays, and not come back because of the guilt. Players aren't nearly so condemning as the voices in our heads.

Storm's right, you know. Just... be not afraid of your players. We aren't rabid dogs who'd bite your fingers off if you approach them with something they don't really like. And we ain't exactly starving to death, either, if we have to go for several weeks without a game.

Which brings me to my actual point - I wanted to know, how's the state of the second campaign you planned to run? Any idea when you'd feel able to start it, and run it alongside the first?
(I'm asking because I feel like I've created far too many characters already over the course of the last few weeks... been playing with the character builder ever since I caught wind there's a chance of a second RP group with you as DM in the future)

To play, or not to play. That is the question. luke_licens September 16 2010, 19:22:00 UTC
I hate to badger, but are we going to play tonight? If things aren't ready, that's fine. I just need to know whether I need to bring my laptop when I babysit my neice tonight.
