I think there's a type of thinking that's prone to attachment which might process it in such a way, although there's really no arguing with the old chestnut, "'Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all." Never can't even conceive of it. . . All things must pass, and I reckon life itself could be looked back on along a similar line.
Without doubt! I think my favorite line is the one about clouds obscuring Mt. Fuji. I can imagine that would be a frustration to many travelers, who would want to see the iconic peak. Then again, I would just think of it as an interesting story to tell later, like the time I hiked Mt. Washington in New Hampshire, the highest mountain on the Eastern Coast of the U.S., and it was so foggy we couldn't see any of the view!
I’m glad you highlighted this part of it, because I wasn’t sure if anyone would give it pause. It could certainly be interpreted in a disappointing way. However I reckon there’s a silver lining here, if one bothers to look. . . Because in fact, from what I understand, there’s a saying which is, if you get clouds obscuring Mt. Fuji when you go, it means to augur that you will likely be coming back to Japan at a future point. . . Ha-ha. So, I certainly would like to see it in this optimistic way. In the way that, sometimes it’s not what we see, but what we don’t where there’s something interesting going on.
But anyways, Alycewilson, I was disappointed to see that you had to leave the competition too soon! Although it’s cool to see that you’ve still taken the time to leave thoughtful comments on a poem here. I take it you will keep updating your blog in despite of the framework of the competition?
Haha. Yes, nobody likes to hear revolution, revolution, revolution, 24/7. . . But, really I feel like, no revolution is worth having that doesn't also have in it, love, imagination, fun, adventure, etc. !

If life is a ball what am I doing in the pits?
Pints of rum Coltrane’s love pit Run! You crazy coyote, run! Obscured by clouds, the mudmen howl at the sun, prowl ‘neath the moon Several species of small furry animals gathered together in a cave and grooving with a pict, observed, afraid to look outside ourselves to see where the weather’s at Plato gave us campfire tales to tell to everyone and Hegel gave us lies Thesis, antithesis, and synthesis, the wherefores and the whys And we no worse for ware are nowhere other wise Everybody’s got a problem, everybody’s looking for a change, sing something.. ~psp
