It is time to wake up, and has been for a long time, and at some point, it may become a moot point, if it becomes too late. A few is not enough. Even what may seem like masses in numbers in comparison to the need, lacks in the requirement of a tipping point of genuine movement. We gain inches. We need miles. But how do you wake a giant in a coma who's caught up a really great dream? The true fact of the matter is, life is not uncomfortable enough for most. And the worst part is, if it must become uncomfortable for those, it will be unbearable for the rest. I don't even know if we have that long.

I suppose by tickling the giant's nose? Or possibly submerging its massive finger in a pond or something? ;)
My point is that it's possible. Hence my emphasis on imagination.
Also I would reckon that globally, life is mostly uncomfortable. Life is uncomfortable for most. So to me the question is not about, will those in power find it's time for a change before it's too late? The question is, how can you unite those people who are ready for a change? How can you resist those systems in place that are about keeping those people from uniting?

Beautiful! In message as well as format. Nice job wrangling the spacing to what it needed to be. I know that’s just a series of details, but it made reading this a joy.

I really appreciate that! I do care deeply for detail, so it's extremely encouraging to hear that!

You're right.
The dystopian vision of Huxley's certainly came to pass. Although Orwell's vision has as well. A case in point being what's currently happening to Julian Assange.
First we need virtual liberation; followed by actual--

A strong piece of thought! Maybe even thought crime. This sums Everything up -

Can no one imagine
a better world
that this?

We just need to be careful we don't sharpen the other end of the pencil.

Great work!

The suggestion of thoughtcrime is high praise!
I will also concede to the wisdom of that conservative statement. And yet I do not grasp the immediate connection between imagination and erasure. The universe is a rather large canvas, so I don't really see the necessity of erasing things before imagining them anew.
What I feel is sorely needed, is freedom from the Totality of past imaginings. Hopefully then (an) alternative way(s) of living could flourish, without being subjected to the Great Eraser of our dominant paradigm.
