At first I thought it was The Course of True Love. But when I went through it I found a similar scene but not what you had specifically. Have you ever read that story? If not here's the link

Ok, well I think the word she use is wife not girlfriend and when Alex confront Liv she said that Elliot actually did let Kathy now about his whereabouts, and I think it was a undercover assignment not stakeout. Can you pinpoint the chapter in TCTL where the scene that you are talking about appears?

It was chapter 19 but I don't think this is the story. I swear I've read the story you are talking about it sounds so familar.

You're rigth it's not. Btw I have read that one, I'm waiting for an update some time before the year ends.
