I cannot find reference to Conan Doyle's feelings on the Lost World.

Howver, he was involved in some of the earliest Holmes films (For the Eclair company) and it is known that he saw the 1920s Hound of the Baskerville produced by Stoll with his permission. The film starred Ellie Norwood.

Doyle gave a speech shortly after in which he said "I [drink a toast] to Mr Ellie Norwod whose wonderous persination of Holmes has amazed me. On seeing him in 'the hound of the Baskervilles', I thought I had never seen anything more masterly".

It is likely that since the company First National who made The Lost World were comparitvely large - Doyle was at least happy with the profit!!:)
It is interesting to note that at about this time he was further exploring 'fantastic adventure' stories - no doubt thinking of future films...
