So my promotion was dependent on a rule change that was announced in November last year. Unfortunately it hasn't been published in the Federal Register, yet, and so it can't be applied.
No promotion until May.
It was a nice way to finish what's been a very exhausting work week.

I've been in a rut these last few... while, and I think a lot of that has to do with the fact that most of what I do has come down to one routine after another. There isn't a whole lot of creativity going on.
So, help me out.
Give me a plot line, and I'll respond with 800 words.

Effective next month, I'll be a Grade 11. It's a cool $61k/year. This time last year, I was unemployed and working hard to get a $500 stipend for some campaign work, and I'd be unemployed for a difficult three months.
It's amazing what a difference 12 months makes.
