When pure cesium meets water, it goes BOOM. So I just had a thought: if you make a bullet of cesium, would it survive long enough to penetrate a person's body? And would it then go BOOM when it meets the water in their body ( Read more... )

It's too soft. Even ignoring the effects of air upon it, it'd deform horribly in the barrel of the gun. (They get softer as you go down the periodic table and sodium (several slots above cesium) is about as hard as wax)

Also, it'd likely react with the gunpowder and maybe set things off before you were ready to shhot.

Also, being so soft, it might not even penetrate clothes
