I made a post at mock_the_stupid, and found out there are even more stupid people than I'd already thought. It's absurd how many people have no clue that "pediatrician" is a doctor who specializes in treating children. And what's worse, they try to justify their stupidity by saying they've somehow grown up their whole lives never seeing a pediatrician. Which is

Well that makes no sense. Here in the US, all kids go to pediatricians. Pediatrician is about as much a "specialist" as a dentist is; technically, both are specialists, but everyone has been to one.
