It's been a subject of much discussion for me that I believe Mr. Depp is a lovely human and a good actor, however, I LOVE Jack Sparrow, no doubt about it.
I was reared Methodist and I'm afraid, right or wrong, what my religious training taught me was I get to choose what I want to believe...sorta like a buffet I suppose, but I only get control of meownself. I'm smitten, but only in control of this little peabrain and short round meat.

I always grind my teeth hearing this 'argument'. Man, I want reply then, whatever your religion orders or forbids you, you have chosen this religion in the first place. (Huh, posting what I considered an interesting observation in the form of satire, I'd never thought it'll lead to such grave discussions. :)
