Parents Are Evil

Jun 10, 2007 00:16

Now everyone is someone's kid, right? So nearly everyone out there has been mortally embarrassed by their parents. It's like a ritual that one has to go through. Now, my parents being the people that birthed me, are slightly more prone to embarrassing their children than others and I feel the need to share this story because I'm slightly inebriated ( Read more... )

OMG I'm laughing so hard here! I got your e-mails before I read this, which is why I didn't know about your emabarrassment, but now it all makes sense! So funny. Parents are, as a rule, meant to embarrass you at one time or another. Although, I must admit, that's an awful lot of embarrassment for one night! I hope you recover. *hugs*

I recovered pretty well, although I'm still semi-refusing to talk to them. They, on the other hand, have the hangovers from Hell, which is quite amusing because I refused to bring them Paracetamol or anything. Payback and all that.

*dies laughing*

This is your parents' revenge for all the hell you've put them through over the years.

I know and it's awful. I was thinking that maybe, maybe I should apologise for everything I've done to upset them but then I decided to wait a few years and extract my revenge on the poor souls *grins*

Hell Girl. Your parents go all out don't they? I only had one parent my Mum, God love her, who used to embarrass me at times too but now reading your story I feel blessed cos she weren't ever that bad. I can't stop laughing your tale is so good. They love you unconditionally, just remember that always, and when you get to my age you'll laugh just as much about it. I have my own now a son of 11 yrs now but it was a good lesson learned at time tho I didn't know it as I really try hard not to embarrass him.

BTW love the drink but no its not good whilst pregnant. What were they thinking? Were they thinking or just too excited for your mate! :o

Yeah, my parents do go all out. I personally think they have a penchant for drama. Which can be quite amusing when it isn't me they're subjecting to drama. But, I know they love me especially because the first thing my Mum did when she rolled out of bed this afternoon with what is, apparently, the world's worst hangover was apologise. Before asking me to mind my siblings because she couldn't open her eyes for very long *laughs*.

I think they were really excited for Mel more than anything because her whole immediate family always has problems conceiving. So, yeah, it was probably just their instincts to head to the pub to celebrate. Still, Mel played snooker and sang. And then me and her went to hers and watched DVDs all night which was entertaining :D.

Ahahaha, you poor thing. *giggles*

Don't worry, you know they love you, they're just expressing it in the only way they know how. *g*

Yeah, I know it. It's just I really wish they could have found another way to express it. Like with flowers. Chocolate. Or money. Money never goes amiss lolz :D

Aaaw! You`re still in the age where your parents can embarrass you! How sweet! ;-)

I love it when my family goes wild, but then again I love all things that other people might find embarrassing. Beware, if you`d ever go out with me! Even without any alcohol, I can embarrass the hell out of the best of them out there! My children one day will feel so terrible about me!

I have learned in my family that anyone can be embarrassed by their parents at any age. My granny still manages to embarrass my mum on a regular basis. Which is always amusing *grins*

I love all things most others would find embarrassing as long as they don't a) happen to me or b) aren't around my family. If it happens not around my family I'm okay with it. Laugh it off, faff around, be happy. It's just my family don't know when to can it.

Your warning has slightly intrigued me. Embarrass the hell out of the best of them? How? *strokes chin thoughtfully* Ach, they won't. No, really they won't. Well, okay maybe but they'll forgive you. You know, eventually *grins*

Well, usually people think I`m completely drunk when I`m still dead sober. That should tell you something about my general behaviour, even if I had to tone it down a bit at work...

And I love my family getting wild. At least I have something to laugh with and about and I know whose responsible for my silly behaviour! ;-)
It`s just so much more fun not to care what other people might think of you and just do what you like!
