Rating: Um, PG?  For vague whump and drama drama drama.
Summary:  Dean and Sam have difficulties with Lucifer.  And then Lucifer and Gabriel have difficulties with each other.

XD I know, right? We spent most of season four listening to them say they don't really have much in the way of emotions, and then we meet Gabriel and Lucifer who say otherwise

Castiel looks at them like they're missing something important. "Gabriel doesn't agree with Lucifer," he tells them. "It doesn't mean he doesn't love him anymore."

That sums up a lot of Gabriel's motivationd. He doesn't want to lose any more of his family, no matter what. Even though he knows they're all assholes, he does love them.

Gabriel wants to believe their Father can be found, and will be willing to forgive their fallen brother, and Gabriel himself as well. Wants it enough that Castiel thinks he may have a fellow searcher, now.

Now *that* would be an interesting direction for the show to go in.
