I can only hope endless irrellivant information provides for information overload. But considering the amount of working officers they can take away from shutting down p-labs, I'll doubt that'll happen

I doubt that they're actually doing anything nefarious with the information - it sounds like, as Andrew Little said, Rob Gilchrist was being used as an 'unguided missile' and was simply forwarding any and all correspondence he received to Police. It's probably unlikely that he was instructed to do this but it doesn't appear that he was discouraged from it either; to the whole thing reeks of incompetence and lack of oversight more than malevolence. It's a very fine line, though.

Yeah, thats pretty much what I was hoping for. Information overload so that even if they find anything they can get uppity about, the sheer amount of information they have will make it harder to spot the dissenting bits.

Humerously another example of capitalism failing. You want to pay for any information, I'll give you all information then!

Unions? Makes sense - if there was some major, disruptive and unannounced industrial action (think waterfront-style stuff) the cops would look a tad silly if they had absolutely no idea it was going down, and no preparations in advance.
