1) I am bad, shooting him twice right after a serious prang. Let's just pile it on, shall we?

2) Yes, reality is somewhat different to an unrealistic ideal. As Don says, J is getting a hard and dirty lesson on the real life of a gangbanger.

3) No comment.

I'm happy that he got shot twice, too!! LOL. That sounds so disturbed.

Great chapter. The car chase was really suspenseful. I liked J's reaction to what was going on and that he seemed worried about Don. He's not actually the punk-ass kid he thinks he is, nor does he have the understanding about things that he thought he did. :)

Not as bad as me who dreamt it up then wrote it for all of the DWA (Don Whumpers Anonymous) to enjoy.

J has grown up in a stable household but for whatever reason he decided to identify with some skewed ideal of gang life, he has no real concept of the truth. That's about to change.

Oh, excellent! This fic was a lovely surprise to come home to at the end of my holiday.

I can't wait for the next chapter. I too think that it's Jason who is coming from the left. Won't he get a surprise when he finds himself looking down Don's gun barrel, or how badly Don is already injured and that he won't be surprised it's turning out this way. That should help shake the rest of J.'s naive thoughts.

Hi! Hope you enjoyed the holiday.

I think J will be sufficiently shaken by the end of this night...

Yep, I definitely did! There was a lot of snow in the States where I went, so I'm quite happy. What about you? Did you have some time off?

Ooo, goodie!

No, I worked Christmas Day (fairly quiet) and also New Years Eve (day time) and New Years Day itself (very, very busy).

I haven't actually got any leave scheduled but I think I have to take or apply for up to five weeks between now and June. My last leave was back in June last year (2009). When I take leave I want to go somewhere but everytime I start to get serious about it I get cold feet when I think about all of the money it costs, especially travelling alone. I usually just stay at home. Bummer.

Wow. This is just breathtaking. I love all the action and the drama and I LOVE Don being the hero while Jason is still clueless (although, I'd bet he's understanding a bit more now, huh?) I certainly hope that it is Jason coming up beside him. AHG!

Fantiastic update! Love the whumping. See you tomorrow.

Wounded, bloody, on the defensive and surviving by his wits...pretty much my favorite Don.
