House's line about penis was so un-clever that it didn't even sound like him.
I think he was offering her the job with that line, not being perverted. Well, he was being perverted, but I liked how she noticed what he really meant and not what he said because it means she's clever and can put up with him and took the job even knowing what he'd be like. I'm not sure if she's going to be a fellow, though. I think she might be keeping an eye on Foreman's for House since House can't just follow Foreman around all the time.
And wtf with the elevator closing scene? House doesn't battle with elevators, he has a bum leg, in case someone forgot.
I think the other doctor was in there and House went in at the last minute to take longer and get on the other doctor's nerves. :P
yes.. I know it wasn't only a pick-up line... Still, I think that among the countless sex jokes that House cracks all the time, this is one of the worst. I didn't mind that he chose to say something sexually related instead of simply offering the job - he wouldn't be House, otherwise - but I didn't like that specific joke. It wasn't funny, imo. Of course, it's true that thanks to that she now knows what she's getting into, and I agree that this means she can put up with him. We'll see if she stays or not. ;)
Same thing with the elevator... of course House couldn't care less about making the other doctor wait (better, he would enjoy it). Still, I think he should have put the cane between the elevator doors, and not himself. I don't know... that scene was bad from an aesthetic point of view: it's rare to see House so ungraceful, and I didn't like it. (yes, I watch House for the aesthetics... *rolls eyes at self*)
Maybe I'm just grumpy today... given that the original mr. Grumpy is gone, someone had to take his place. :D
Cam won't be going back to the team. I think that end speech was her admitting that she is too involved and has to move on.
I want to like Ch/Cam but just can't. It's beginning to squick me, actually. They just don't feel cohesive and sincere. They are pretty (and it keeps Cam away from House), but to some extent, that just doesn't cut it. If they're gonna keep them together, I would like to see more of their relationship on the show. Especially b/c CHASE NEEDS TO BE ON MORE.
well... Vive la difference ;) Anyway, I've been probably too harsh in my post. It's not that I didn't like this episode, I simply liked it less than the previous ones. But when you consider "I love you" or "I'm in charge of our relationship", it's hard to keep up, imo ;)
About Chase/Cam, I think -and I know it's probably crap, they're actors after all- that it is suffering because of the Spencer/Morrison break up. Their interactions seem often strained, and this is maybe why they don't show more of their relationship, and never kiss on the show.
IMO, the main/only problem with House right is that I'd love to see more of a lot of characters (WILSON! Chase! Cuddy! and the new fellows too) but the show is only 40 min long, and it has to deal with patients too... they simply aren't able to make everything fit in. Foreman, for instance, is my least favorite of the old fellows, but still I missed him when he was away and I'm happy that they've given him a lot of screen time. However, I now hope next time it'll be Wilson's Chase's turn.
ah, thank you for clarifyng the fellow bit. I thought that it was just the first step in the career of a young doctor. Come to think of it, it wouldn't have made sense if House hired young inexperienced doctors - and they weren't, in fact. I wasn't thinking straight ;)
Chase is much better now, I agree - he's more assertive, though not so much with Cameron.
And as for Foreman, now that you mention it, it's true that there was something out of character, but I can't pinpoint it.
I liked it, mostly. was not as good as last week, but it had some great moments.
makes me laugh to see other doctors reactions to House's behavior, when they are not "used" to him. clearly, everyone is PP are just rolling their eyes at this point, saying "wth. it's house. better roll with it"
it annoyed me to see Foreman being all self-pitying, but I sort of loved how all the other doctor leaged against him as House was out. not that I want that they do that anymore, but they really changed since House started that insane competition. hopefully, Foreman has his self confidence back now that House praised him and he knows he was right.
I totally went "OMGWTF he did WHAT!?" at Grumpy. sheesh. and I really like CIA-girl (aka omg!hot) and I hope she brings something good to the show. sexual tension galore, for sure. I am sure Wilson will be totally starry eyed at her.
I needed to whine a bit, apparently. I'm already thinking about watching it again - maybe with subtitles this time, so I can get a few jokes that I missed. And maybe I'll like it more

A fellow is actually a very prestigious position, but they only can be one for so long, that's another reason why they had to break up that team too.
Cameron, I think she does miss that rush of diagnosing under pressure and pulling out all the stops.
Foreman, was it just me or was he kind of unForeman like..and the creepy one making it look like she had Polio, that was all shades of wrong.
Chase, I don't know why, but I like him so much more now.
