Um... no.

I'm for the disability experience being a part of social networking, but that just rubs me the wrong way.

You definitely have every right to be offended. I know I am.

People without disabilities seem to be either extremely accepting or not at all. I haven't found a medium yet.

Hopefully, someone will find it offensive enough to report it. I just might.

on a related but unrelated note, what do you think of disaboom?

i kind of find them interesting, but i find their latest banner ad "have i forgiven the guy who put me here?" a little obnoxious. i also find that their focus can be sort of single minded on the physical disability and on the health/wellness aspect of disability rather than the political.

I like the idea behind disaboom... social networking should extend to PWDs, of course. I do some work for an organization that encourages supporting the growth and development disaboom, so I'm supposed to remain optimistic ( ... )
