There are rare instances when I am away from home and away from my laptop for a night, like right now. And man, do I miss it! I mean, I am online, so one addiction is fed. I'm even on broadband, so I can't complain. But, I'm physically uncomfortable, sitting at this PC, in this office chair, craning my neck. And, I'm aesthetically unhappy,

I agree that Windows can't even compare to the Mac. I'm totally sold on Macs now. I bought the Applecare plan that covers my iBook for 3 years, so I'm hoping that will cover anything that might break.
