I'm very late with this but.
This is the doll my mom [♥] made me for Christmas.
There are a few things that I would change if I would have made it but, for someone who doesn't even know how to say the name of the show he's from, it turned out relatively similar! :D

I have no idea how she did it! She's a genius at all things creative though.. it looked like it was sewed to the under part of the face..? Yarn is rather difficult to work with. haha

*looks closely* It does look like it was sewn in at the seam where the face is connected to the rest of the head. What patience! Especially since the yarn was probably moving around like crazy. I stray away from yarn because it does unravel, eventually, but I want to try it sometime.

Hehe. I always go to my mom and flail and ask her for her opinion when it comes to sewing/crafty things. Moms are good for that. :D

My guess is, knowing her, she prolly superglued it down before she started and then sewed it after that. Around here-- super glue fixes everything.. I would imagine that moving yarn would be the bane of my existance. Very frustrating..
