ALWAYS
3- Making a Home

"Can I buy you a drink?" Kent asked, trying to sound more secure than he really felt.

He didn't know anything about the young, skinny man entering the lounge, but he had seen him around downtown before. Always alone, but usually vanished before Kent could even try to approach him. He wasn't about to loose his chance this time.

The other man looked around confused for a moment, but answered smiling shyly. "You could... buy me a juice."

Kent wasn't entirely sure if his invitation had been accepted or just subtly rejected, but he dared to step closer.

"I can't drink." The young man added suddenly, as he had noticed Kent's hesitation.

"And, can you dance?" Kent asked, feeling unusually confident. They have only crossed a couple of lines, but Kent was quickly starting to feel like he had just meet the man he was meant to be with.

And it wasn't much different for Nervous.

He didn't even know his name yet, but just by looking into the stranger's eyes, he felt like they have known each other forever.

"I'd love too" He replied timidly, unable to contain a light giggle.

Nervous didn't expect, however, the other man would hold him by one hand, and pull him closer with the other by the waist.

"I'm Kent... Kent Capp. I'm from Veronaville."

He introduced himself standing so close, Nervous could see see all the details of his face. His eyes were light blue, and you could  see he was blond for the eyebrows, but his head was perfectly shaved. Apparently so were his arms, maybe even chest. For a second, Nervous wondered how much more a man could shave, but the thought only brought an unexpected rush a of desire through his body. He have never felt so intensely attracted by anyone, not even Pascal.

"I'm--" Nervous stopped abruptly and reconsidered his words. At that moment, he didn't want to be the nervous young boy with the mysterious past, who grew up as the test subject of a couple of eccentric scientists. He just wanted to be an ordinary man, enjoying the company of another man. "I'm Nerus Muenda, from Strangetown."

"That's a very unique name." Kent commented softly, as he pulled Nervous body closer to his own, boldly showing his own interest.

"Thank you..." Nervous gasped, but he barely even finished the sentence before being silenced by Kent's lips reaching his.

Nervous welcome and reciprocated the kiss, disregarding all reasoning. If that was meant to be a one time thing, then he was ready to enjoy every minute of it.

But after that night, Kent and Nervous couldn't spend a day apart again,

and before any of their friends and relatives could understand what had happened, Kent had moved in with Nervous in Strangetown.

They were aware that rushing could be a big mistake, but were willing to take that risk. Kent had found the simple and honest man he always dreamed to have, and Nervous, a loving partner who only had eyes for him.

It was on his first official morning on the desert town, however, when Kent discovered what could become the biggest threat to his relationship with Nervous.

They woke up to the door bell ringing. Nervous promised to be right back, and though Kent intended to wait for him patiently, the voices coming from the entrance called his attention. He hadn't intended to listen from the hallway either, but seeing his boyfriend hugging another man startled him.

"So, where have you been? We haven't seen you in days." When the man spoke, Kent noticed the toddler standing between them, which confirmed his suspicion.

He was Pascal Curious, the man Nervous called his best friend, and clearly still have feelings for.

Kent held his breath, containing a deep sigh.

Nervous had told everything about how they met, and how much Pascal helped him to leave his foster home and reunite with his mother before she would pass. That man and his baby were the closet thing his boyfriend ever had to a real family, and Kent knew he had to welcome them as such, if he wanted to be part of his life.

He turned around and quietly headed back to the room. He could hear Nervous talking to the baby girl playfully, but he wasn't about to start his new life together, mistrusting and spying on his partner. Besides, if he was going to meet the only man who could take his boyfriend away, it wasn't going to be in underwear.

"So, why haven't you called me? I have missed you." Pascal said stepping closer charmingly, but Nervous avoided him, no too subtly, stepping aside.

"I met someone, Pascal." He said softly, putting the toddler back in the floor.

"What do you mean someone?" Pascal seemed honestly confused.

"Someone who loves me, Pas. For real."

"Loves you?" Pascal snorted lightly, but sounded more frustrated than amused.

"Is that so hard to believe?" Nervous asked back bothered.

"No, hun, I didn't mean that." Pascal said calmly "But for how long have you met this guy? Two days?"

"Longer than that!" Nervous replied madly, but before the other man could make any kind of remark, he added "I know what you are going to say, Pascal, and I DON'T care. If this is a mistake, then is my mistake to make. You are not going to ruin this for me! I've never felt happier in my life, and if you love me, then you better be happy for me or just leave. "

"Ok. Ok. I'm sorry." Pascal stepped closer cautiously, trying to calm down Nervous, who gasped agitatedly."This is just very unexpected, but I am happy for you, Ner. When can I meet him, eh?

"Right now, if you a wait a minute."

"Wait, what? He's here?"

"He lives here, Pas."

"WHAT!?"

But once again Nervous stopped his friend before he could say any other word.

"I told you, I don't care what you think. You either like it or leave now, please."

Pascal wasn't sure what to think, but curious as he was, he agreed to wait and meet his friend's new boyfriend.

At first, he was intrigued by the new man in Nervous' life, but mostly concerned about his intentions.

However Pascal only had to meet Kent a few minutes to realize that he wasn't there to take advantage and break his friend's heart, but instead he seemed honest and as eager to start a family as Nervous was.

That worried Pascal even more, and as he headed back home with his daughter, he wondered if maybe the next time they'd see the couple again, would be for their wedding.

A/N: I'm really happy to finally post this, though I fear the updates may be feeling a bit incomplete. There's so much I've considered including, but I don't want to over-detail and extend this story unnecessarily. I just want to keep it simple and short.

Kent and Nervous have normally 2 volts, and 3 with matching turn on/off (or if you have a Nervous with his original personality points. I noticed with a clone I'm using for some shots, but for story, Nervous has his wacko personality intact) so they usually hit it off really quick. Kent is also a knowledge sim, so he can handle Nervous' peculiar background and haunted graveyard. And, imo, he has the right personality to tolerate Nervous messiness and crazy behavior without letting it get out of control or affecting his own sanity XD (I think Nervous drives Pascal a lit' nuts when they live together for too long lol)

As for Nervous "Name" I'm using the same one used in Denial, simply because I got used to it. It sounds kind of similar to Nervous so it could be like the Beakers altered to nervous as a mock, and it is not a real name either, so I imagine Nervous could feel rather awkward about it and never uses it much. (and it starts with "Ner" too, so it works perfectly for me lol)

How Pascal is going to take this new situation, we'll see in the next update, but I'll tell you this. Nervous and Kent do get married. The wedding was meant to be included in this part, but I'm making a few changes for the next update, so it'll be mentioned then instead... but it is happening! :P

And to finish, a couple of close up of beautiful Kally Curious, who so perfect on her role of cute little toddler cheering the background ^_^

Thanks for reading! <3
