Thank you for all your great work on these! ^_^ I've been loving prototype the skins in my game (and even got a compliment on them in my most recent chapter, you'll be happy to hear).
So you're saying that the only difference between this set and the last is in texture quality? That's good. I'd be reluctant to switch, otherwise, because the ones you shared before were pretty much perfect for me! I don't mind the lack of eyelid detail at all, and I do remember seeing that difference in skintone with the Leh skins.
I like the idea of separate creature skins. Since they include the eye textures, I like to be able to pick and choose to match my eye replacements. Otherwise, I need to use contacts, which isn't so bad (since I can pick different colours), but more time consuming.
Thanks again! ^_^ You've pleased a very picky Maxis-matcher with these skins.
Thank you so much! :) It's great to know you like the old skins good enough to keep. I was getting a bit paranoid with the quality on those lol
I kept noticing all kind of details on them, specially around the nostrils, but think they look a lot cleaner now (specially for close up shots). The nose shader is just a bit lighter, because it was looking too dark in some skins imo, but overall the difference is very subtle.
I'll try to post the plantsim files during the weekend (along with sets for all other creatures, but the rest only change the eyes, not the actual face texture), so you could test them and see which one you prefer. (I wish it would be possible to do eyes and skins separately for all the sets, it'd be easier to match, but in any case I could make a replacement for plantsim with any eye you want too.)
And thank you again, really. I'm really happy if some else also likes and enjoys the skins. :D (I totally ended up doing it out of obsessive pickyness, because I couldn't like any other XD)
but the epic shininess and sims having nudie bits got to me
Yep! That's the biggest reason I did these ones at the end. I didn't want to change the whole body skin, and I can't really get use to the shiny, not even a little (and hers are very light comparing with other "maxis match" skins I've tested).
