randomness: Pleasantview makeovers

Jun 19, 2009 20:30

Going back to dear old sims2, I'm trying to retake on the megahood game bit, so first of all I went around Pleasantview giving the families there a bit of a makeover.

Hopefully this will become a new chapter for Remix, which had been on hold for WAY TOO LONG now, but I felt inspired with meetme2theriver last update, so I've been working on it now ( Read more... )

sim ramble, remix, extras

Whee, nice! Great job of keeping them all very in character, just with small changes. <3 Especially like Lilith + Angela!

You should give the Burbs a chance, they're fun. ;)

Also, the eyes are great. If I wasn't so used to the replacements I have now, I would like to use those. :D

Thank you! :)
I didn't change the hairs much, tho, only on the sims that will show on the story more, but that was just laziness XD

Glad you like the twins ^_^ They'll have a cute scene there (well, *I* think is cute, at least lol) Also made the recolor for Angela's dress. It was only hue the color for a greener tone, of course, but hell I missed sims3 texturing thingy there a lot! ROFL Just to think I had to turn the game off and loading Bodyshop, simply to make a light recolor was so frustrating!! :P So far is the 'only' thing I missing of ts3, tho.

lol That was a very braggy comment on the eyes *blushes* but didn't play these much since installing them, so never got too see like in 'regular' gameplay until now. (seeing it in different sims, townies, around comm lots, etc, made me ridiculously happy rofl)

I'm just so use to the maxis look, anything else tend to annoy me easily while playing. Like actual red hair instead of the orangy maxis has or light brown instead of dark. I've recolored several CC hairs because of that ( ... )

Yeah, the recolour tool for TS3 is quite excellent. I like that, the pretty landscape and sky and some of the career/opportunity stuff. Oh, and the drag-and-drop inventory and some of the building tools. But the gameplay and sims themselves are just... meh. My husband likes it, though, so he can play it when I'm not around. :D

Don't worry about bragging, they ARE very nice eyes, it's like you took off that "fog" layer on them.

I know what you mean about the Maxis match hair, I really prefer most of my hairs to be as close as possible to Maxis colours (thus I really like Simgaroop's stuff, especially the new ones with the orange red!), though I do have a couple of Nouk's originals (which are very nice, I'm just anal about everything matching :p).

Thank you! :D

I was just soo silly happy to actually see the replacements all over town LOL (so far I had only loaded the game for a couple of shots here and there, not really much.)

Everyone looks great (I'm glad you didn't shave Daniel's beard--he's one of the few sims who can really pull off a beard). The twins look really good (though Lilith should learn to sit like a lady! maybe your husband's sims3 self-sim could teach her?)

I second the "give the Burb's a chance". There is so much drama potential there.

ROFL!!! I was trying to block that image and you just made me remember!! XD But anyways! *changes topic* :P I actually used the 'male' poses on Lilith for the scene on purpose, she's not to feminine overall, even tho she keeps using skirts. (I'm choosing better angles for the entry, tho, LOL!)

Now, tbh 'drama potential' wouldn't be what comes to my mind with the Burbs ROFL! Dunno, I just see them as dullest family there, but again, haven't play with them much and mostly keep them around because of their relation with the Pleasant. lol

That's so funny (that you see the Burbs as boring). The minute I played them (so many years ago!) I saw John as desperate for a big family and his wife not willing to play along. She gave him one child and he should be happy with that. So John headed to the telescope in hopes the aliens would give him what his wife would not (oh and then the wife had an affair with HERB OLDIE!).

Yeah, that's the vibe I get with John and Jennifer too, although I usually give in and have them have one or two more babies anyway 'cause they end up so cute. :p (Even if they're all face template 1/2-y). My first version of the Burbs had four girls and one boy, including Lucy.

Lucy is great too, and she's good with Alexander. <3

John having a little garden and cooking for his family while Jennifer is busy career building is great, too.
