O.k internet's back on yaaaay time for a tutorial.
O.k lets talk about wig heads because they are a crucial tool when it comes to wigstyling. Now about wigforms:they are not the same size of that of a human head. This rule applies when you are putting your wig into a high ponytail. In my ponytail tutorial my wig form was padded but I never got to showing how I did it. So now's the time since the next one will involve another ponytail tutorial. O.k lets get started.
Supplies:
1. Wig head ( Make sure it has a hole at the bottom so that you can put it on a wig clamp)
2. Wig clamp or your dress form stand
3. Newspaper or Quilter's batting
4. Masking tape
5. Measuring tape
O.k frist take your measuring tape and measure your head ( basicly around your nape to your forehead).
Once you get your measurements now it's on to the next step.
Gather your newspaper or quilters batting. In this tutorial I am using newspaper because to be frank:It"s Cheaper and batting cost about 10 bucks. Yeah lets be "eco friendly" shall we.
Take a sheet at a time and fold them into a squares.
This is an example of a nice square shaped piece.
Now the key is layering. Taking your masking tape apply the sqaures and tape them together in a nice big pile. Your goal is to add more shape to the head and to meet your measurements of that of you head.
Here is an example of what it will look like.
Another angle. You can add as many layers as you want it's up to you.
Now my wig head is suitable for styling it into a ponytail.
Now slip your wig onto the head.
And now your ready. You can tell the difference when you style your wigs on a regular forms and to those of a padded wig. This ends the tutorial I hope it helps you as it has totaly helped me. Next tutorial I will show you how to make a fullwig into a ponytail.
