Wig detangling Tutorial.
To ansewer my good freind yaoi_jrockerboy question about dealing with long wigs that tangle easily I have decided to do a really quick tutorial on how to detanglea wig. A really quick one since it's not the weekeand where I can take pics so I will post links if I can. O.K lest get started.
To detangle a wig I recommend using this product:
http://www.bestbeautyworld.com/nti30001.html It's 5.00 bucks and it's worth it. Spray this on your wig, brush, and it's instanly detangled. I love the smell of it too.
Another product I used is called "Natty Wig detangler" however I can't find a link to it so when I get the chance I will buys some for now if you go to your local Beauty Supply store then look for a wig detanlger with the word "Natty" on it and it's in a cleat spray bottle. You can't miss it since it is a pink color.
Now I will give you a recipe on how to make your own wig detangler.
Supplies:
1 spray bottle
2 cups of water
1 cup of conditioner
Blow dryer set on low or meduim heat on low speed.
Foam head
T-pins
Wig clamp
Mix the conditioner and water and shake it up. Pin your wig with the t-pins onto the foam head. Spary it onto the wig until it is slightly saturared but not to wet. Using a wig brush and your blow dryer apply a little heat onto the wig abnd brush as you go. Be gentle you don't wont to lose fibers and do not put this on high or you'll have scorched wig. This technique works well on staighen a wig as well.

Pleaes realize that "Motions Oil sheen" is not a wig detangler unless they have one. I have seen someone use it and the wig came out stingy. That's fine if the character has stringy hair, but enchantment wigs and Godivas are meant to have a fuller look ( if more wefts are added) so please keep your wigs looking that way. Use it to give your wig a sheen, but then again there are wig products for that as well. You can use normal produts on wigs however be prepared for the texture of the wig to sligtly change.
