... why does Summer think she needs a reminder to be good? (Okay, I'm assuming the stars have no opinions and that interpretation is in her head, but possibly there are lurking strands glaring at her.) She's not as staid as Winter, but on the whole she seems inclined to do the right thing.

The short version: Summer feels pressure from the universe to be "the good sister." Winter is cold, Autumn is wild, and Spring is chaotic.

There's a reason Autumn drew Summer's sign on the heart.

And summers can be brutally hot (humid or dry) and full of thunderstorms with an option on tornadoes -- warm, but not all sweetness and light all the time. :)
