I am incapable of being in a fandom without wondering about daemon AUs. If you're not familiar with the His Dark Materials trilogy, the shorthand is "animal familiars," though what they really are is your soul in an animal form of its choosing. Oooh, I'm excited to read these! I didn't really like HDM (couldn't get through The Golden Compass), but I've always loved AUs where the daemons are applied to fandoms. I read a Lost one that was incredible.

I read through your master list and I love your matches and even had an idea for Winters. Daemons are the opposite gender of their person, right? Winters had a lioness spring to mind. Male lions are just too aggressive, but the females hunt and take care of the young ones and protect the pride.

I hope you enjoy them! Also, if I can be totally self-serving, I do have a community for daemon AUs -- withdaemons -- which is fairly slow, but which I would love to see more people enjoy.

A lioness is fitting -- I had the worst time trying to come up with the right one for him! Which makes sense, given how close to the vest he keeps himself. :)
