NO WAY TO TREAT A FIRST LADY

I picked up the book of this title on a remaindered table for $5.99 in hardback. The front cover has a noose made of a string of pearls. The author is Christopher Buckley -who also authored 'Thank You For Smoking".

This is a funny and wonderful book, if anyone is looking for some light reading. The president, upon returning from his mistress, has an argument with the first lady, who beans him with a spitoon. When he is found dead in his bed the next morning, she is arrested and charged with asassination. Her defense? "I didn't hit him that hard." The book follows the trial, defense and determination of just who the real killer might be.
A fun book.
