You know what I think of as the height of luxury nowadays? Brush my teeth, lie down in bed, read a book, and then go to sleep. I haven't had any kind of nighttime routine in like a month and a half. There was one night like that, I think, and that's about it. So I am requesting this for my birthday. Boy, my standards really dropped.

oh man, i love funnel cake.

why do you have to wait for the baby to sleep before you leave her in the crib, out of curiosity?

She wouldn't sleep in the crib for the first month. Now she sleeps in there, but only if you put here there once she is already asleep. Otherwise she just starts screeching because she wants to be held. Fortunately, she is mostly quite sleepy at night, so she falls asleep pretty quickly.

In addition, we had to make the crib a bit smaller by putting things in it (gasp, horror go the pediatricians) and laying her sideways on a blanket so that she doesn't wake up feeling like she is sleeping in the middle of a cold football field.
