I sadly need to catch up from series two of Sherlock, thankfully I think its on Netflix, maybe I'll wait til the 3rd series pops up and just sit and marathon it one day hehe

Haven't really watched too many Sherlock's, but I have read plenty of books, one of those loves I get from my mother, since she is a huge Sherlock fan.

I'm with you on Elementary, I think I started to watch the first ep when it aired and I just couldn't get through it at all..it just isn't Sherlock as far as I'm concerned, one of my things was a female Watson. I just couldn't get over that, but it just didn't give the feel of Sherlock to me really, I didn't finish the ep or watched any others since, might end up being one of those ones I'll watch later on when nothing else around lol That will probably be a long long long ways off since I almost always have stuff to watch heh

My dad and I watched the first two series on Netflix; I'm not sure when they'll be adding the third. I think the DVD comes out soon, maybe this month.

Oddly, I don't think I've read all of the Sherlock Holmes short stories. I have two of the collections, but haven't read them in years.

I didn't think the female Watson would bother me that much, but combined with all the other changes they made to Watson, she doesn't feel like the same character and Watson and Sherlock don't have the same relationship. I had the same problem with Elementary's Moriarty, who is also a woman.

(Usually my aunt who lives in Portland and I have similar tastes, but she likes Elementary much more while I prefer Sherlock.)
