Crazy - a Lisa Edelstein video
I've had this one started for awhile but I finally finished it like, yesterday. I had like 1983798432 other ones started, but I just felt the compulsive need to do this because I LOVE HER and that's that. And I know I've said it before, but I love vidding Lisa because it makes me feel like I get to spend actual time with her? if that makes sense? I don't expect it to, but it was so fun and nice. Especially with this one, because I REALLY really love this side of her, and I wanted to make something to recognize that.

This video is exactly that ^^. Her crazy fun, laugh-out-loud, balls out fearless acting that I love and adore. Her gift for comedy & overdramatization, brilliant timing, grand hand gestures, and general LOL cuteness. This is my first Lisa video that is not somewhat deep and serious. This is full-out FUN. I wanted to do a comedy video/montage about her because kljsfas she is so great, and she's known for this quirky spunk that she brings to these uncommon characters.
01.) 0:18 - LOL. I LOVE HER.
02.) 0:26 - one of my faves.
03.) 0:30 - timing; hand on that guitar and then mouth on "to my core". IT CRACKS ME THE FUCK UP.
04.) 0:38 - the lyric is "so what if I'm no baby bird hung up on your every word?". AND. IDK. TIMING ON HER UNDERWEAR.
05.) 0:44 - at first, I had this cut differently. but I backed it up a little bit because I wanted her sister in the shot to add extra movement and make it feel more 'non-stop', if that makes sense.
06.) 0:47 - LOL timing. her flaily hands on those drums. I couldn't resist.
07.) 0:53 - I had to tweak the lighting SO bad on her Frasier scene. it was so dark and bland. :(
08.) 1:00 - fun fact! this is the first clip I added. I saw it match up in my head when I heard this song in the car, and I was dying to match it up for real.
09.) 1:02 - LOL. LOOK AT HER. I love when she gets all overdramatic and it's all hilarious.
10.) 1:05 - timing on her hand on her back. and then the "NOOOOO". This is, hands down, my favorite part. At first I left her scream in there, but I took it out because I felt like it took away from the effect the music had on her.
11.) 1:25 - "I've held back a wealth of shit, I think I'm gonna choke".
12.) 1:41 - her little "give it to me" hand gestures with that electric guitar.
13.) 1:47 - her "WHYYYYY" isn't meant to go in time with the lyrics, it's meant to go along with the like... idk how to describe it. Like the sound in the music, the guitar.
14.) 1:55 - she is adorable.
15.) 1:57 - hip pop on "me".
16.) 1:59 - I LOVE WHEN SHE HITS THE GUY. I LAUGH EVERY SINGLE TIME.
17.) 2:02 - srs timing. obviously. AND YAY A BUTT PARALLEL INTO THE NEXT SHOT.
18.) 2:20 - makeup parallel. I'M SORRY IF I'M BEING REALLY OBV IN THIS COMMENTARY TODAY. I HAVE NOT YET SLEPT.
19.) 2:26 - this is so obvious also, but I wanted to say that I actually love when she walks away all hunched up more than I do her actual "OH, THAT BASTARD!" line.
20.) 2:45 - another favorite! my insides do the color thing!
21.) 2:50 - prison parallel.
22.) 2:55 - YAY! so begins the crazy hand gestures section!!
23.) 3:00 - I LOVE THAT SHE IS SO AWESOME IRL AS WELL.
24.) 3:12 - this was like, the second clip I added. I work very out of order.
ALSO. I manipulated the hell out of the original song - I cut all the choruses in half because I felt that they were too repetitive. It's hard to vid repetitive songs because there's only so many clips I can think of that go with "why do you love me" and "it's driving me crazy". All the stuff I pulled out from various places added up to about a minute, so that definitely helped a TON.
