Thursday Afternoon, Room #229

Mar 02, 2006 14:03

Edward woke up slowly, with a long, luxurious stretch, and scratched the back of his head. He felt a little disoriented, but couldn't figure out why. With a shrug he got out of bed and contemplated wandering out to take a shower.

[OOC: Mun is working tonight, so interaction slowplayed like whoa after 5 p.m.]

Considering his freakish new need to constantly read, Alphonse was very quickly running out of books in his own room. Kidnapping a few from his brother seemed like an idea, so that he set forth to do.

Now reading his sixty-seventh book since yesterday, he absentmindedly forgot to knock and opened Edward's door open, stepping in and barely pushing the door behind him where it didn't close all the way. "Hi, Ed," he greeted simply, keeping his eyes on the book and plopping down on the floor.

Edward had already shed his sleep top and was rooting around in his dresser for some clean clothes (ugh he had to do LAUNDRY soon, he didn't want to think about that) when Alphonse walked through his door. He watched, slightly confused, as his brother plopped in the middle of his floor, still reading a book. "Uh ... hi, Al."

He waited for a moment, but his brother didn't acknowledge him again. Edward glanced at the door, wondering when it had fallen out of style to knock. "Uh... don't you have class today?"

Alphonse skimmed over a sentence or two more before he acknowledged Edward's question. "Oh, I've only got Chemistry today." He went back to his book, and a minute later shut it close, putting it aside as he made a grab for the nearest book and promptly began to read.

Edward stared at his little brother for a good long moment, watching him speedily flip through the pages. What the hell was up with this? Alphonse was devouring books faster than, well, he would. A lot faster, from the looks of it. If he was actually reading them, which Edward slightly doubted.

He turned from the dresser and crossed his arms. He was going to go take a shower, damn it. That, and the fact that the book at the very bottom of the pile Al was going through was shifting restlessly. "Al, it's great to see you and all, but I want to go take a shower."
