I'm panicking, fretting and otherwise running around like a headless chicken. Why?, I hear a small and insignificant voice ask. cos I've got an oral chemistry test today, in front of my second year tutor. Not only do I actually have to prove that I have some conservation knowledge, but I also have to prove it to the most intelligent man I know

You're easily one of the most intelligent people I know. Simple thing here is to just zone out and go into brain mode, forget who the person in front of you is and assume that he's just another person asking you questions. Ok so you can use big terms and he won't get confused, but he is just another person interested in what you do.

It was the only way I got through my dissertation Viva, I just took the point of view that the people I was talking to didn't already know everything I was telling them. Sort of telling a lie to myself to make things easier.

Thanks babe. Oh well, its only a small part of myfinal mark, and itts the first I ever do, so if I fluff it I can write it off. Anyway, he's a big buffy fan so I may be able to distract him for a while

Hmmm, leave the buffy and just get through it. Perhaps talk to him about Buffy when you're finished and you want to leave him with a non work related memory of the Viva.

Good luck, i know how stressed some of my girls got over their viva's (not a uni grad so i can't possibly understand) but i'm sure you will nail it. We will definatly make time for a rocky horror night if you are up for it.
