I still have no idea what the first Merlin fic I ever read was but I know it was enough to convince me to finally watch the show cuz I'd been stupidly resistant to giving something featuring the Arthurian Legends a whirl (school left me with a major distaste).

Love your (tiny) gifspam, it's just right...especially vomiting Brolin feels all over other people ;)

And I did not know Lord Huron...I must rectify this immediately!

Right? They're amazing! I love that whole album, but this one song in particular is just- it's Merlin. It's canon. I just couldn't believe it when I first heard it! I love them so much.

Happy Merlin Anniversary! You're the Voice is the best. :) I think the first Merlin fic I read was something from the merlinxarthur comm (from four years ago :p)... shame I didn't make a note of it. :( I was caught up in the excitement of new fandom feels. :)

Yeah, I'm glad I got in so early -- it was a lot of fun joining in the excitement for those four years of premieres. And it was cool seeing all the different Merlin comms being born. It was thanks to NBC airing S1 that got me interested in the series (The Poisoned Chalice episode/1x04 was *the* episode for me that made me fall in love with the show so that episode will always be a favorite of mine. :)).

I remember watching the first episode when it premiered here. I did actually watch the whole first season but then they stopped airing it, and S2 was really late by the time it hit our screens - I lost momentum and didn't get into the fandom until the beginning of S4 after that. But I'll never forget the sudden warmth I felt at the manhandling in 1x01, and when Arthur's climbing that wall to reach the flower and the orb keeps him safe from the cave critters, I remember thinking HE LOVES HIM. OH MY GOD, MERLIN LOVES HIM. <3_____<3
