I've been writing for the past years. Between jobs and school and parenting responsibilities, I've frequently only written 250 to 300 words a day, and have done little revising. There just wasn't time. But it was important to me to keep writing, consistently ( Read more... )

So much truth in this post. I was talking with friend who has just started writing again, and she was stymied because she couldn't tell if anything she was writing was worth it. So I read over her stuff, and gave her feedback on where here strengths were, and also places she could pay more attention to, but mostly told her that the writing was the most important part. If that's not there, then there's no strengths or weaknesses to point out.

I'm glad that the starting over is working so wonderfully for you~!
