I want her to need me more then salvation.
I wonder if she ever would have?
I think she would have gotten her salvation and then loved him greatly for helping him. And he would have picked at that. He would have wondered which she loved more. Cause he's so unsatisfied.

Uh wow the fever! I wish he got sick on the road. I wish a lot of things ... I like him this way though.

Her ideas of salvation were presented kinda hazily but it seemed to be entwined with the cure. If she was cured she would have salvation, looking at science instead of religion. It's interesting. She was in love with him but maybe he found her faith a problem, she was spiritually stronger then he was. Maybe he was guilty about that.

I would have loved to see him start to succumb to the illness. Oh yeah, going for the big bad wolf there ;)

She was! It was like it worked for her but not for him. He was giving in and she was still fighting. He was weaker and bet that bothered him.

He was looking for many excuses not to succumb to her.

That was chilling. And the bastard was telling the truth and still lying. He is such a devil.

I like to think that he had so much guilt and shame going on that the thought of heaven/hell frightened him so he ignored it. But with her it was something she clung to.

Well it's your reading but I thought it would be ironic if he was telling the truth, Ale did leave on his own. But she wouldn't believe that so blames him and now his life is in her hands.
