I read a book on that once and I *really* wanted to learn. I went through all the steps but it never worked out.

You were there. More than likely it is crock. She/He/It prolly does this to multiple people because they like the feeling of messing with people's heads.

So, most likely it won't matter what you say or how hard you try to prove the facts, they are just going to keep on.
