Your son looks really sweet and friendly but if I bumped into him on the street I would probably be a bit cautious of anyone sporting that hair style. One associates it with skinheads and thugs. (at least in Australia).

Yes he did go for the Travis Bickle look. Going bald or very short is quite common here, it's not just the skinheads. But hair does make a statement.
