About a week ago, there was a big Carnival Parade as part of Robert Burns festivities in Dumfries. Ayla and her schoolmates took part, with hundreds of other people.

We watched the parade go by at the Burns Statue. Here in this picture, Ayla is the 2nd from the right in her group..... with a mask on. She's got her new converse sneakers on....

So I've been bummed out about my bad eye for a while. It had an operation to repair a retina detachment back last spring..... and that was successful, but my eyesight has never fully recovered.

Anyway, long story short, I went to the optometrist yesterday to discuss what can be done.

The day has come that I am 60 years old. FFS.

We're having a get-together at Jenny's later... Chinese Food, which I don't get often, but that's what I chose. Linda's not a big fan of Chinese food.... but I like rice.

Trump was inaugurated yesterday, which is a bit of a downer.

So the latest excitement is that I can't find my bank card. I know I had it at work on Friday... so I think it probably was in my pocket when I took my work pants (trousers) off after work.... and I put the trousers in the dirty clothes basket.

Watching the State Funeral procession for Jimmy Carter ... on CNN. I have a lot of respect for him.

Lost my temper at work (teaching apprentices) today... which doesn't happen often, or at all, really. Regret it.... Just raised my voice, nothing physical, of course.... over a bad student who was caught watching some video or something on his phone under the desk.
