The funniest thing about Excalibur is that it's the film Monty Python were parodying ... even though it was made several years AFTER The Holy Grail! Watch them side-by-side. You'll see.

Ooh, haven't seen Amazing Grace or Princess Mononoke. If I can wrest the DVD remote from the grubby little paws of my children, I can't wait to have a look.
