Hey, I found your entry looking for info on Muhtesem Yuzyil on lj. Even though there might be little mistakes in the series, this is one of the best shows I have watched.

Costumes are great. They actually translate the 'Russian' in it (I used google translate to read this entry :P) instead of just speaking in Turkish.

It also reminded me a bit of the Costume Dramas BBC makes. So I'm proud the Turkish finally made something to compare with the BBC Dramas :)

Sorry for the random commenting.

I agree the movie is great! There was just one thing which made displeased russian speaking viewers - 'the russian language' - it was awful. My mother tongue is russian but I hardly understood what the actress was saying! It was good that there were turkish subtitles, so I could understand :) It's funny, isn't it? :)

So wonderful decorations, costumes, script, etc., and so 'little thing' as russian should have had more attention from the movie makers, in that case the show would be absolutely perdfect! But it is still wonderful, I liked it very much!

In general Turks make good movies. And this one is one of them.

Really, that is sad. It would have been better if they had the Russian Language correct. I mean it is funny that you need to read subtitles while they speak your mother tongue!

I guess the little things are the things that make the difference. I wonder how the Italian was...

:) I'm glad you liked it. I've been reading about how they want this show off the television. A lot of Turkish people are angry because they see it as a blasphemy against the big Ottoman Sultan. (Who was only a human!)

And lol, I disagree on the good movies. Well movies can be good, but these television series... They can get horrible. At least for me.

I don't like turkish television series too, not because of quality but because of content, usually they are artificially drammatic :)
During 3 years I have watched only two ones, but they were kind of comedy :)

Most of turkish CINEMA movies I find quite profesional and have joy of it.
