Hmm, that was a new experience.  Just saw an episode of a New Zealand comedy TV show... starring a large number of ex-Shortland Streeters... and I can only assume that someone at New Zealand On Air neglected to crank the "suck" knob to 11.  It was called Serial Killers.

I think I saw a puff piece for that ages and ages ago. Something about a writing team deciding to kill off a character in a soap opera? What time is it playing?

The Strip was also very good, I thought.

Serial Killers was, in fact, a brilliant show. It was THE show, I believe, that rekindled hope that we as a nation actually COULD create scripted comedy for television of a reasonable standard. Of course, it was put on at 9:30pm on a Friday, and then cancelled after a single season because it didn't do well. Kind of a self-fulfilling prophecy there, huh?

mm, I heard it was good too. But it suffered the same fate as firefly really, with that time slot. Ditto for the insiders guide to happiness, I have heard that it's brilliant, but never advertised, or put on in a good slot.

Have you watched outrageous fortune? I think it's by the same writer as serial killers.
