I hate packing (so so much)

On of my first tweets ever was about how packing is one of my least favorite things to do, and it still holds true to this day. I've been trying to get my things together this past week or so, since next week this time I'll already be sitting in my teeny tiny room in the funny container room complex that I'll be living. also, I'll be sharing the ( Read more... )

Lol @ Paula. She cracks me up.

Packing IS awful, I have to do it too! But it just boils down to trying to get rid of anything you don't really need/want. You have to be liberal with throwing things out. If you stumbled across it and you haven't thought about it even once in the past year or two, then its safe to say you can probably throw it away as long as it isn't some sort of critical documentation. Pretties and knick-knacks and yarn can all be stored until you move back home =]

Try not to stress too much! Its just material items <3 Good luck!

Yes, Paula is a very practical lady and she also knows me very well. I just get so anxious whenever the subject of packing comes up, but luckily for me, she's almost always there helping me (read: she does the packing while I just make anxious faces next to the suitcase/boxes/the stuff to be packed). :D

Also, I've learned from all this that I'm actually SO BAD at throwing things away. Even if they're a. broken, b. too small/ill-fitting like clothes, c. something I hardly remember I have. So far I've mainly concentrated on things that actually have some importance/use to me (ie. books, clothes, yarn), and I have yet to reach the point where I actually have to make all those hard decisions and I'm dreading it. :P
