Of course night is the time of quiet solitude, of peaceful self-reflection and absorbtion, of that zen moment between dream and waking when the lights go low and your recollection of the days events plays upon your sinking concience like silence of a funeral. And, as rosy-fingered Eos greets us with the warmth of spreading sunlight, our minds awaken. Though the den of Dis has its charms and certain rewards, Apollo's golden chariot reminds our hearts to beat and our bodies to move. In full sunlight -- whether the hazy, Neoclassical effect in the Northeast or the clear, cool sky of O'Keefe -- we learn joy. True joy, the joy of kittens purring, their bodies vibrating with the force of it, the joy of children laughing on swingsets while trying to touch the sky with their toes. Is a good balance we have. We are blessed.

Brandon says Night is the time for stories, for weaving whole-cloth from thin air. I might counter with, day can be a time for dreams, for creating castles in air, and for naps in the sun.
